A short word about what changes when the church grows, and what does not. As more Saints walk with us, more Elders are needed so that every Saint is genuinely shepherded. The framework target is roughly one Elder for every twenty-five Saints — close enough to know them, pray for them, and walk with them through life. As pastoral teaching capacity grows, more Pastors are recognised among the Elders — roughly one in five Elders carries the pastoral gift. The Diaconate grows similarly. The Five-Fold gifts — apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher — distribute across the growing Eldership as the Lord raises them.
What does not change. There is no Senior Pastor. There is no Lead Pastor. There is no Senior Minister. There is no Executive Eldership tier. All Elders are equal in office, and Pastors are Elders who happen to carry the pastoral gift in the Ephesians 4:11 sense. When the Eldership meets, they meet as one Council. A chair is selected for administrative facilitation — agendas, time-keeping, recording — but the chair has no authority over the rest of the Eldership and the chair function may rotate.
And the Committee — the legal body that fronts the entity to the regulator — stays small regardless of how large the body becomes. A Committee of five to nine handles legal stewardship for any size of church; operational complexity is met by professional support, not by enlarging the Committee.
This is how we grow without becoming a corporation. The shape Christ Himself laid down for His Church can hold thousands as faithfully as it holds fifty.
