Sonrise is no accident of spelling. The Son rose, and the sun rises — and the church that knows the first too easily sleeps through the second. This work is a call to wake — and, to those who have, the guidance and a platform to support the saints in the work of the ministry.

Why this Series exists
The Sonrise Revival Series grew from a simple conviction: the New Testament pattern of church life — every member gifted, every member a priest, elders who shepherd as a team, and no spectators. It’s not an ideal to admire but a structure to recover. A structure for all denominations.
The framework is grounded in the Old and New Testaments, in the specific context of the local church: what God has done, what He is doing in His Church, what He has given His Church, and what He has called every Saint to do. The foundation is already laid — Jesus Christ Himself (1 Corinthians 3:11); this Series is not that foundation, but a picture of how to build on it. The aim is clarity and accountability across every function of the church — from the household to the eldership, from the personal walk of each believer to the annual rhythm of the body’s shared ministry.
The framework and platform complements the Bible; it is not a replacement for it, and not a comprehensive Bible study or discipleship course. Scripture is the foundational, authoritative source for everything that follows. Scripture doesn’t just hand us the gifts; it charges us to tend them.
Paul tells Timothy to “stir up the gift of God which is in you” (2 Timothy 1:6, NKJV) — in another translation (ESV) it says “fan into flame the gift of God” — and warns him not to “neglect your gift” (1 Timothy 4:14). And it is work the body does together: “let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24), “as iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Proverbs 27:17). A gift can sit in a believer like an ember — real and God-given, but banked low and easily missed. It has to be recognised, rekindled, and kept burning.
That is precisely where the framework and platform serve. The framework gives the understanding — what the gifts are, and how Scripture says a body discerns and deploys them. The platform gives the process — the shared, practical means for a church to actually do it: to help each saint find the ember, and for the whole body to fan it into flame together. Neither adds a word to Scripture; both simply help a church obey what is already there.
The platform, for its part, is only the means — as a sermon carries the Word to you in season, and a car carries you where you already needed to go — helping a church do the important, shared work of building its people together as living stones (1 Peter 2:5).
This is precisely the lead-up to Pentecost — a people gathered, waiting, and made ready before the fire fell (Acts 2). Before the flame comes the fanning; before the fire, the gathering of the embers. That is exactly what the Before the Fire Discovery Course is built to do — to walk a body through this whole process, so that when the Spirit moves, every gift He has given is ready to catch and blaze.
A word on scope. This Series is grounded in Scripture’s own pattern for church structure and governance — it does not direct individual church expression. Worship, culture, and the particular life of each congregation remain free under Christ. But every church should maintain faithful obedience to the biblical principles of church structure and order that Scripture lays down.
The name — Sonrise
Sonrise is a deliberate play on words. The Son who rose from the dead — the firstborn from among the dead, the Head of the Church (Colossians 1:18) — is the only One who can call His Body to rise with Him. The image is the dawn: the sun rises over the horizon at the end of the longest night, and the world that was dark is filled with light again. The Son rose. The sun rises. The Church is called to rise — and those awake have risen with Christ, and He shines on them. He says to the Church, “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” (Ephesians 5:14).
This is not a programme of human renewal. It is a call to receive afresh what the risen Christ has already given — the Spirit poured out at Pentecost, the gifts distributed across the Body, the leaders appointed to shepherd, the families ordered under God, the annual rhythm of obedient planning together. Where the Church has drifted, Sonrise Revival is the call home: to repentance, to obedience, to waiting on the Spirit, to gathered unity — and to the cross. Revival is not given to a Body that has not surrendered to it. “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).

The framework and the platform
It helps to hold two words apart — they are not the same thing, and we never use them interchangeably.
The framework is the teaching — the Sonrise Revival Series itself: the documents, the theology of the gifts and the eighteen profiles, the household, the eldership and five-fold, the annual plan, and the governance pattern. It is the biblical blueprint — what Scripture says and how a church recovers it. The entire framework and all its content is free to read on-site.
The platform is the software that makes the framework workable — the tools that carry the pattern into the life of a real congregation: the interactive assessment and results, the body-wide gifts picture, the benchmark surveys and dashboards, communications, the template library, the Ministry Planning Portal, the evaluation and annual Impact Report, and the Engaged Church mark. These are the tools that bring order and structure to coordinate the works of the ministry — and they are what a subscription provides.
In short: the framework is the pattern to read and understand — free; the platform is the set of tools to run it together as a body — the paid part.

The Series is built in layers, each one supporting the next — the framework and the household underneath, the personal discernment of gifts, the body’s shared operations, and the instruments that let a church adopt the pattern. The entire framework and all the content is free to read.

The tools in the platform
The documents map the pattern; the platform makes it workable. These are the key tools that carry the early church's rhythm — where the leadership supports the work of the ministry rather than standing over it — into the life of a modern congregation. This Series is administered by Daniel Pleiter, offered as one Saint’s contribution to the wider Body of Christ. Daniel holds qualifications in social science and business management, and has spent twenty-five years in management and governance roles across local, state, and federal government in Australia — with deep practical exposure and experience in what makes organisations function well and what makes them fracture.
He has been a Christian for more than forty years, worshipping in both traditional and Pentecostal settings, and has seen the same principle hold in both the corporate and the church world: where good governance is followed, bodies flourish; where it is not, they fracture, lose direction, exhaust their leaders, or quietly die — only in the church the work being done is eternal.
Daniel’s own gifts — identified through the process set out in this Series — cluster around administration, helps, and wisdom, and the calling on his life is to bring those gifts and twenty-five years of governance experience into the service of the Body of Christ. He does not claim originality for the biblical teaching; the framework rests on Scripture and the work of faithful teachers across the centuries.
